Buy an active mini sub only if your room is small enough that a larger sub is physically impractical. Then it's not a compromise—it's the right answer.

The way I see it, most people searching for these products are actually looking for reliability, not maximum SPL. The SRM1801 gave me reliability. The 650-R2 gave me lessons.
